Cost Reduction Consulting
Spend analysis, licence and vendor audits, and a prioritised plan for cutting recurring cost.
The monthly software bill has grown quietly and nobody is sure what is still needed.
SMEs whose tooling accumulated over years without anyone reviewing it as a whole.
Technology cost rarely arrives in one decision. It accumulates: a subscription for a project that ended, a licence tier nobody downgraded, a hosting plan sized for traffic that never came.
Individually each item is small enough to ignore. Together they are often a meaningful fraction of operating cost.
What we look at
Subscriptions and licences. What is being paid for, by whom, and whether it is still used. Duplicated tools are common — three products doing roughly the same job because different people chose them.
Licence tiers. Many services charge by seat or usage band. Businesses frequently sit one tier above what they need, because upgrading was easy and downgrading requires a decision.
Hosting and infrastructure. Oversized servers, forgotten staging environments, and services kept alive for a site that was replaced.
The cost of manual work. The most expensive line item is usually not on an invoice at all. We quantify the hours spent on tasks software could do.
How it works
- Inventory. Every recurring charge, gathered in one place. This step alone often surprises people.
- Usage check. Which items are actually being used, and by how many people.
- Rationalise. Remove duplicates, downgrade where justified, cancel where nothing depends on it.
- Automate or reassign. Address the biggest manual costs.
- Report. A clear list of what changed and what it saves annually.
What you get
- A single view of recurring technology spend
- A prioritised list of savings, with the effort required for each
- Recommendations that distinguish “cut this” from “keep this, it earns its cost”
On honesty
We do not get paid on a percentage of savings, because that creates an incentive to recommend cuts regardless of whether they are wise. Some tools are worth their price and we will tell you which ones we think those are.
Occasionally the honest finding is that the spend is reasonable and the real cost is elsewhere. We will say that too.
What you get
- →Spend analysis across all software and services
- →Vendor and licence audit
- →Process efficiency review
- →Prioritised cost reduction roadmap
